Leading and Influencing for the New Supervisor

“Leading and Influencing for the New Supervisor” is designed to get the new supervisor on the right path before ineffective habits develop. Leading and Influencing for the New Supervisor highlights the behaviors that reflect a supervisor’s competency and trustworthiness.  When supervisors meet that objective, individuals are more likely to follow the supervisors’ direction willingly.  This three-day program engages participants to identify their own leader-development goals for the course and beyond.  Delivered in a highly-interactive format that mirrors the competencies measured in many promotional oral boards and assessment centers, participants are left with an understanding of how to lead more effectively.  The target audience for this course are current and prospective supervisors.

Participants will:

  • Set individual/team goals
  • Create & communicate expectations derived from their Department’s mission statement
