Oral Board Workshop for Police Promotion

COVID-19 UPDATE:

Despite Connecticut’s gradual lifting of restrictions on group sizes, face masks and social distancing mandates remain. Both of these restrictions impede the effectiveness of in-person workshops.

As a result, the Oral Boards Made Easy™ for Police Promotion workshops scheduled for 2020 have been canceled.

The streaming, e-Learning version of “Oral Boards Made Easy for Police Promotion” is a viable alternative to this workshop. You can find more information on this learning method at this link.

“When it was time for my first promotion oral board for the rank of sergeant, I started experimenting with an acronym that I had developed to see if it would help me better recall the steps in situational questions. It did…and I was promoted to sergeant #1 out of my 220 competitors.

I refined my system and expanded it to more categories of questions for my Lieutenant and Captain oral boards and my Assistant Chief assessment center. I was promoted in the #1 position on each of these promotion lists, a feat not accomplished by anyone before or since in my agency of over 400 sworn personnel.

This system works because there are frequently asked categories of questions that show up at oral boards. Easy-to-recall acronyms streamline your preparation. And that is why I named this system Oral Boards Made Easy™.”

-Bill Reilly, Assistant Chief of Police (Ret.), Developer of the Oral Boards Made Easy™ for Police Promotion System

Is this oral board workshop for police promotion a good investment for you? See if this helps…

“I wanted to take a moment and thank you for your guidance and wisdom leading up to my recent Lieutenant’s process at my police department. I was recently informed that I finished number one for the combined Assessment Center / Oral Board exam and have been subsequently promoted to the permanent position. The information provided in your workshop was spot on and incredibly useful. We received questions concerning an unpopular order, personnel conflict, disciplinary proceedings, and critical incidents, all topics thoroughly covered in the workshop. Without question your strategy for an opening dialogue and closing statement helped set the tone for the interview and close confidently like no other course of instruction. My sincerest thank you and hopes that I’ll work with you again someday.”
