The achievement focus of professional development coaching is also well-suited for members of the chief’s executive and management team, allowing them to blend the chief’s vision with their individual professional goals.

Bill Reilly earned his coaching certification in 2005 through the Coach Training Alliance and has been assisting new, experienced, and aspiring police chiefs ever since.  Confidential coaching sessions are focused on your needs, are conducted over the telephone, via Skype®, or in-person at Finest’s Training Center and are 60-minutes in duration.

Because coaching is a growth process, multiple sessions are recommended and 6 to 12 month commitments (each month has two 60-minute sessions supplemented with ongoing access & support throughout the month) are recommended to maximize your development.

First-time chiefs should strongly consider negotiating Police Chief Coach™ services into their employment contract/agreement; your mayor or municipal administrator will know that you have support as you step into your new role and you will have Police Chief Coach™ services to help you grow, work through areas of uncertainty, and stay focused on success.

“I believed I had thought of every possibility in my search for a small town Chief of Police position. But after about two years of testing and interviewing and coming very close, there was still no job offer. I began to look for the missing link. I came across Bill Reilly’s internet site and gave Bill a call. I told Bill that I felt I was close to the right blend of ability, training, experience, and education but I must be missing something that I could not detect in closing the deal. Bill was able to analyze and focus my efforts in a way that I had not done. His suggestions and guidance in re-formulating my resume, and my ability to answer questions was the necessary element that I was missing. Bill had almost completed our coaching sessions when I received a testing invitation for a small town in central Illinois. I competed in their process and was offered the position as their next Chief of Police. I am certain that without the focusing influence of Bill Reilly I would not have attained my new position. I would recommend Bill Reilly’s coaching and training to any prospective candidate who believes that they have what it takes to reach that next step up in their career. Thanks Bill!”
